South Beach Water Activities: Part 2

People come to South Beach for a variety of reasons. But, it may be safe to say the main reason is the beach itself – it’s beautiful. The city’s beach draws thousands of visitors each year. And this beach, isn’t just for tanning or sleeping on. South Beach is home to endless water sports and activities for people to have fun and be entertained.

Last month, we shared some popular water activities on the blog, but since there are so many, we wanted to share more! Below is a few more South Beach favorites that will guarantee you some fun in the sun.

Flyboarding

Want to feel like you’re flying? Flyboarding is a water-powered device that shoots you up out of the water like a jetpack; its attached to your feet (boots) and is powered by a hose connected to a jet ski. The way the device looks, it has been compared to flying like Iron Man. Both children and adults can enjoy this activity. People can choose to do this for 30 minutes or an hour. Lessons are available for those who have never tried this before. Safety equipment is also provided.

Here are a few spots where you can rent a flyboard:

Miami Watersports | 3400 Pan American Dr., Miami

Miami Beach FlyBoard | 910 West Ave., Miami Beach
Oceans Flyboarding and Jet Ski Rental Miami Beach | 1099 MacArthur Causeway, Miami Beach

Gondola Rides

Who says you have to travel all the way to Venice, Italy, for a beautiful, blissful ride in a gondola? Stay stateside and climb into a gondola and sail alongside Miami Beach. These rides are great for couple who want a romantic Venetian experience or fun for groups of friends and family. Gondola rides can bring guests through the Miami Beach Canals and tours can last anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes.

Here’s where you can catch a gondola ride:

Miami Beach Gondolas | 4525 Collins Ave., Miami Beach

Other Water Activities:
Parasailing
Kayaking
Kite Surfing
Paddle boarding
Jet-skiing
Boat tours/Cruises
