International Ballet Festival of Miami

This event is an annual celebration during august in Miami. Ballet that attracts artists and enthusiasts from around the world. It features performances from top ballet companies, along with workshops, and film screenings related to the art of ballet. Witness over 100 principal dancers transform Miami-Dade and Broward Counties into an expansive ballet stage, leaving audience members as spellbound as a swan entranced by Tchaikovsky. The 28th annual event is the brainchild of Eriberto Jimenez. Born in Bogota and trained in New York, Eriberto spins the festival into a whirl of classical, jazz, modern, and contemporary dance. Bring your fan, folks, because this festival is en pointe.

Spice Restaurant during August in Miami

This is a two-month promotion that celebrates Miami’s vibrant food scene. During this event, many of Miami’s top restaurants offer three-course meals at reduced prices Try bold, delicious dishes from some of the best chefs in Miami during Miami Spice Restaurant Month(s). Throughout August and September, enjoy special tasting menus at special prices – $30/$35 for brunch or lunch and $45/$60 for dinner.  Participating restaurants will be announced on July 2023. Beyonce Renaissance World Tour

In August 2024, Miami will be one of the stops on Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour at Hard Rock Stadium on August 18th – starting at 7 p.m. For this ninth tour (and possibly her best tour yet), Grammy-winning Queen Bey will deliver an exciting evening featuring a high-definition video screen with a setlist of 36 songs. Expect a contrast of raw soul songs and a technologically augmented spectacle, including a dance segment with actual robots.

This concert features performances by alumni of the piano program at Florida International University. Miami is our stage, but The Wertheim is our home. We offer a thrilling array of performances featuring our award-winning FIU artist-faculty, guest artists, and talented students. We continually strive to offer programming that deepens our engagement with the South Florida community, reaffirms our commitment to push for diversity, and nurtures the next generation of musicians through meaningful collaborations and partnerships.
