The World Marathon Challenge – North America will be held on February 6 | 2023.
Once again, we will be hosting 40 athletes who are running the 7th and last marathon after running 6 other marathons in each continent over the prior consecutive 7 days, with Miami Beach representing their North America continental stop and the finish of their epic journey. This event will be run strictly on the serpentine and beach walkway adjacent to the beach, which will remain open to all other activities during the duration of the race. There are NO road closures for this event so there will be no disruption of traffic. The event will begin at 12 noon.
Runners start on the serpentine at Lummus Park, Miami Florida, USA. Just north of 5th Street heading north and will turn around just north of 37th Street coming back towards Lummus Park @ 5th Street. This loop course will be repeated 5 times to complete the 26.2 mile distance.
The World Marathon Challenge organizers have worked with the City of Miami Beach to coordinate logistics for the race while minimizing impact to the community. For any additional questions, please contact [email protected]
